Where did you study and when did you graduate?

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa in Biomedical Sciences, 2015. I completed my dental degree at the University of Toronto, 2019.

General Dentistry

What charities do you support?

I donate blood regularly to the Canadian Blood Services. I also donate regularly to the Ottawa food and clothing drive. For the past 4 years I have been a part of a charity started by my colleague called Reach for the Stars donating toys to kids in need during Christmas.

What associations do you belong to?

Currently RCDSO and ODA. As I settle into Ottawa, I will be joining local associations including the Ottawa Dental Association.

What do you enjoy most about dentistry and/or your practice?

Every patient is different. My goal is to work together with each and every patient to design individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs and concerns. My favourite aspect of practicing dentistry is watching my patients leave satisfied, confident and pain free with a bigger smile than they came in with.

What do you enjoy for fun outside of the practice?

I am a firm believer of living life to the fullest. Outside of work I partake in a variety of activities including weightlifting, latin dancing, recreational sports, drawing and sculpting, and photography. I am also currently working on my skydiving and scuba diving certifications.

Engaging with patients and using digital technology to improve the patient experience and outcomes.

What do you enjoy for fun outside of the practice?

Spending time with family, travelling and enjoying a variety of different foods.

What are some of your academic achievements?

Received several awards for academic and clinical excellence while obtaining my DMD degree including: the Mary Jane Ego Scholarship, the Dr. F.W.L. Hamilton Scholarship, the Sophee Kanee Memorial Prize, the Manitoba Blue Cross Dental Scholarship, the Shaw Laboratories Ltd Scholarship, the Elsevier Science Canada Health Sciences Award, the McNicol Research Scholarship, and the University of Manitoba Merit Award.
